Curating intrigue, wonder, and the will to live
Hello Muselings, we meet again!
My week has been sponsored by cold medicine and canceled plans. If your plans have also been replaced by tea and vague intentions, welcome.
vibe check
One week in and I’m already overdue for a vacation. A reminder (for us both) that you don’t earn rest by suffering first.
small fact, big feeling
In one Indian village, every time a girl is born, 111 trees are planted. Celebrating the arrival of a daughter and promising to cherish her equally? It’s about damn time.
some cool art
Unclear what the occasion is, but the coats are open and morale is high. A strong case for sunshine = happiness. I'm living vicariously.

linguistic oddities
Thorn in my side: The original way to say pain in my ass. Traced back to biblical proverbs, it’s become modern shorthand for anything (or anyone) persistently irritating.
a writing prompt
A character finds a lost book and embarks on a journey with an unlikely companion to find its owner.
dream house alert
Magnificent. Semi affordable. Mysterious. French. Moorish architecture. The type of house that makes you feel fancy even on your days off.
the free shelf
Because capitalism is exhausting and your budget deserves a break.
🎶 → This week’s gem: Say the Word on Beat Sometimes the internet is for learning things, sometimes it’s for absolutely not that. This is one of those times. Enjoy the unserious side of the web.
from my lens
There’s something so comforting about a place that refuses to be hurried. I took this in Havana, where nothing matches and it works perfectly. The beauty is in the layers.
until next time...
If this email made you feel an inkling of wonder or chuckle once, it was all worth it.
Same time next week?
If you enjoyed this, consider sharing it with someone you don't hate.
Until next Monday, xoxo
